Chainsaw Art

Intricately cute, don't you think?

Intricately cute, don't you think?

Jacques Vigneron took this photo during his recent travel in Pennsylvania and shared it with us (thanks, Jacques!). This creature was carved using a chainsaw, one of the programs taught at Appalachian Art Studio. We can only imagine how skilled the carver must be!

Appalachian Arts Studio is an 8000 square foot facility that conducts art workshops, educational programs and organize such venues for creative expression. For more information, check out their website here.

Mona Lisa moves!

Joam Santiago, a director of Lapat Tinig, shared this unusual portrait with us. Beat this.

He took this video at the South Korea’s Alive Gallery when he went there for a conference last month. The gallery features paintings that talk! With 62 masterpieces including Mona Lisa and the Last Supper that come to life (in a whole new way) thanks to techonology, this museum should be a fun way of discovering age-old art (and gives us a reason to wish to go there). Thanks, Joam!
