We chanced upon the works of an artist based in London who brands himself as Slinkachu. He makes installations of tiny people in different scenarios around London and also where he travels. The image above was taken in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

True, things can be bigger or smaller, depending on your perspective.

It’s been a while since our last post. We must admit, being non-pro bloggers, it is easy for us to say “maybe next time we will post something” here. Half the year is almost gone and yet we haven’t found the discipline to post regularly Boo! Yet, like making life changing decisions, every day is an opportunity to do so. So, we promise to be better at blogging regularly.

This blog has been in the blogosphere for quite some time. In fact, it received an “awesome” review for last year. It also said that “Some of your most popular posts were written before 2010. Your writing has staying power! Consider writing about those topics again.” Writing with staying power, this perhaps is our saving grace.

DIY Friday: Cherry Blossom & Poetry

There’s just so much happening in the world. It is quite difficult to not hear about them, even if one deliberately refuses to watch the news.

We made this little reminder using a cherry blossom branch template we found here and some lines we borrowed from a poem. Everyone needs to hold onto something these days. We think you can use the same template for little notes and cards to send to people you care about over the weekend.

March, the most awaited month by architects, designers and builders are just around the corner. One more week and the month of design and construction expositions are here.

Starting the line-up is Manila Now PIFS (Philippine International Furniture Shows) 2011. For over thirty years, the expo has been presenting the country’s best furniture and accessory designs to an international audience. This year, the expo promises an outstanding show with more exhibitors, bigger booths and new designs.

Surprise people with lines handwritten and stuck on a real orange (we used sticker paper) that are appropriate for them such as:

*Orange you glad we’re friends?* — for your bestfriend and who publicly acknowledges that you’re his/her friend, too

*Orange you gonna ask me out?* — to pass the hint ;p

And so on. Be creative.

DIY Friday: A Hearty Cup of Tea

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Why not show some love with this tea bag project?

It’s quite easy to do. We chose a bag of Four Red Fruits so the flap of the little paper bag is already in red. We cut it off, folded it into two and cut out the hearts. We then carefully glued this on the string of the tea bag. You can slip the tea bag back into the plastic or a resealable bag that fits it. Just be careful to have the glue fully dried and away from the tea bag before slipping it in.
